Sensex soars on all-round buying...Nifty reclaims 6k

The BSE Sensex surged 371 points to close at 19,956 and the NSE Nifty rose 119 points to close at 6,009.



All BSE sectoral indices ended in the green, the BSE Banking index was the top gainer the index gained 2.6%, followed by BSE Consumer Durables index gained 2.5% and the BSE IT index added 2.5%. The broader indices also ended in green as well, the BSE Mid-Cap index gained by 1.3% and BSE Small-Cap index added 1.4%.

The European indices were trading in positive terrain, the DAX in Germany was up 0.6%, the CAC 40 index in France was up 0.6% and FTSE index was trading higher by 0.4%.

Outside the frontline indices, the big gainers in the broader market were Jai Corp, Uco Bank, Havells India and IDFC. On the other hand, losers included DB Realty, RCF, NFL and Idea.
