Asian stocks open positive


Asian stocks rose, driving the MSCI Asia Pacific Index higher for a fourth day, overshadowing declines by Japan`s exporters after the dollar weakened against the yen.



CSL climbed more than 2.5% on speculation it will benefit from the recall of a competitor`s product. Mitsui Fudosan gained 1% after declines in the country`s land prices slowed.

Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225 fell 0.65 points, or 0.01%, to trade at 9,602.76.

Hong Kong`s Hang Seng index declined by 74.79 points, or 0.34%, at 22,077.38.

Singapore`s Straits Times index was trading flat at 3,095.48. (07.50 a.m., IST)

China`s Shanghai Composite, Taiwan`s Taiex and South Korea`s Kospi are not trading today.
