Eros International firmly in the picture ahead of release of Ra.One


Eros International Media rose 2.48% to Rs 258.20 at 14:54 IST on BSE after the company said it is planning a wide release of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Ra.One.

The company made this announcement during trading hours today, 14 October 2011.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 196.67 points, or 1.16% to 17,080.59.



On BSE, 1.45 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 91,068 shares over the past two weeks.

The stock hit a high of Rs 261.30 and low of Rs 252.20 so far during the day.

Eros International along with Red Chillies Entertainment is set to release Ra.One this festive season on 26 October 2011. Eros and Red Chillies have already recovered a major portion of their investments in the project through in-film branding, media endorsements and through pre-licensing cable & satellite rights, music and other rights, Eros said in a statement.
