Nifty March 2011 futures above 5,500

Turnover tumbles

Nifty March 2011 futures were at 5,529.15, at a premium of 18 points over spot closing of 5,511.15. Turnover in NSE's futures & options (F&O) tumbled to Rs 96324.91 crore from Rs 162054.39 crore on Tuesday, 15 March 2011.



Reliance Industries March 2011 futures were at premium at 1,049.60, compared with spot closing of 1,046.50.

State Bank of India March 2011 futures were at a slight discount at 2,650, compared with spot closing of 2,651.

Tata Steel March 2011 futures were at premium at 599.50, compared with spot closing of 597.75.

In the cash market, the S&P CNX Nifty surged 61.50 points, or 1.13% to settle at 5,511.15.
