Nifty March 2011 futures above 5,500

Turnover drops

Nifty March 2011 futures were at 5,537.15, at a premium of 16.35 points over spot closing of 5,520.80. Turnover in NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 90894.24 crore from Rs 117102.32 crore on Monday, 7 March 2011.



IFCI March 2011 futures were at premium at 55, compared with spot closing of 54.60.

Tata Motors March 2011 futures were at discount at 1,156.50, compared with spot closing of 1,163.10.

Reliance Industries March 2011 futures were at premium at 990, compared with spot closing of 985.10.

In the cash market, the S&P CNX Nifty surged 57.65 points or 1.06% to settle at 5,520.80.
