Nifty October 2010 futures above 6,100

Turnover surges

Nifty October 2010 futures were at 6,121, at a premium of 19.50 points over spot closing of 6,101.50. Turnover in NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 1,51,314.66 crore from Rs 1,35,874.27 crore on Wednesday, 20 October 2010.



Bharat Heavy Electricals October 2010 futures were at premium at 2,553.50 compared to the spot closing of 2,545.

Larsen & Toubro October 2010 futures were at premium at 2,047.50 compared to the spot closing of 2,037.25.

Suzlon Energy October 2010 futures were near spot price at 59.20 compared to the spot closing of 59.35.

In the cash market, the S&P CNX Nifty jumped 119.40 points or 2% at 6,101.50.
