Wow. What a feeling to see the Sensex above the 10,000 mark. It’s been a long three months since we saw it in five-digit. Call it a bear-market rally or beginning of a bull market as some would like to term it; at the end of the day, it is a rally.

The coming week is a holiday-shortened week. The start will hinge on how global markets behave. Thereafter, the market will take a closer look at the numbers of auto sales and cement dispatches. A negative inflation and expectations of a positive IIP augur well for sentiment though most people doubt the reliability of these base effect figures.

The coming weeks have a number of holidays too but that does not mean trading needs to be dull. The volumes will come in from the big boys and for now they seem to be loosening their purses a bit.
