FIIs in buying mode
Inflow of Rs 1106.90 crore on 7 March 2008
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 1,106.90 crore on Friday, 7 March 2008, compared to their selling of Rs 129.70 crore on Wednesday, 5 March 2008.
FII Inflow of Rs 1,106.90 crore on 7 March 2008 was a result of gross purchases Rs 5,447.60 crore and gross sales Rs 4,340.80 crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex plunged 566.56 points or 3.42% at 15,975.52, its lowest closing since 18 September 2007, on that day.
FII outflow in March 2008 totaled Rs 423.20 (till 7 March 2008). FII outflow in calendar year 2008 totaled Rs 11,725.70 crore (till 7 March 2008).
There are a total of 1,307 FIIs registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
